A letter of appreciation from Don and Judy Stainbrook, members of the Sandwich Citizens Police Academy
Class of 13-16, to the Sandwich Enterprise, dated July 15, 2016:
Thanks to Our Men and Women in Blue

As recent graduates of the Sandwich Citizens Police Academy, we want to take this opportunity, during these troubling times all across our country, to say thank you to the men and women serving the Sandwich Police Department. Residents are very fortunate to have such compassionate and highly professional police protecting us.
If you would like to see what goes on in our local and Capewide law enforcement community, we highly recommend that you sign up for this most informative course next year. Every session of the 13-week course brought us into a new corner of the world our police deal with on a daily basis. Everyone had the opportunity to ride along with an on-duty officer, which introduced us to many members of the police force as well as the opportunity to witness the situations they must be prepared to deal with on a moment’s notice. A special shout-out to Chief Wack, Deputy Chief Nurse, Lieutenant Bound, Sergeant Lawrence, Community Services Officer Gilrein, the Sandwich Fire Department, along with various special units that serve the entire Cape, such as the canine officers, Drug Task Force and SWAT teams.
The blue line of law enforcement in Sandwich is one to be proud of. We thank you one and all!
Don J. and Judith A. Stainbrook
Thank you, Don and Judy!
